CO₂ lasers are better suited for marking organic materials like wood, leather, glass, and acrylic,etc.

Engraving depths range from 0.01 mm to 2 mm.

 

UV lasers are generally used for marking coated metals (such as anodized aluminum) or applying fine details on surfaces.

The marking depth of a UV laser typically ranges from 0.01 mm to 0.2 mm, depending on the material and laser power.
