Cleaning Efficiency under Different Power and Operating Conditions
May 09, 2026
Pulse laser cleaning technology, with its high peak power and "cold processing" characteristics, can achieve precise cleaning while protecting the underlying material. Toch Tech has conducted a systematic analysis of the cleaning efficiency and suitability of pulse laser cleaning machines at different power levels under various operating conditions.
The study shows that it is the peak power of the pulse laser-not the average power-that primarily determines cleaning capability. Depending on the application, the choice of laser power shows a clear hierarchy:
Low-power machines (50–200 W) are suitable for precision cleaning and the removal of thin layers of contaminants.
Medium-power machines (300–500 W) can meet most industrial cleaning needs, achieving efficiencies of 4–20 m² per hour.
High-power machines (1,000 W and above) are designed for heavy-duty, large-scale industrial cleaning tasks.
