WUHAN, China – March 18, 2026 – Hubei Toch Technology Co., Ltd., a specialist in high-power laser applications for power grid maintenance, has announced the shipment of three laser obstacle removal systems to Panama.

The equipment, which left the company's Wuhan facility earlier this week, is bound for Panamanian utility and infrastructure operators. The laser systems are designed to clear foreign objects - such as kites, tree branches, plastic sheeting, and unauthorized construction materials - from overhead transmission lines without interrupting power supply or requiring line crews to climb towers.

According to the company, the three units incorporate fiber laser technology with remote targeting and real-time thermal monitoring. Operators can work from a safe ground position, with an effective working range of up to 200 meters depending on line configuration and atmospheric conditions.
