Introduction And Research Of Fiber Laser Marking Machine
Nov 03, 2024
Fiber laser marking machines are lasers that use rare earth-doped glass optical fibers as gain media. In recent years, fiber laser marking machines have become a hot topic in laser physics research. They are widely considered to be a new generation of products that may completely replace solid-state lasers. Fiber lasers can be developed based on fiber amplifiers: under the action of pump light, high power density is easily formed in the optical fiber, causing a "particle number inversion" in the laser energy level of the laser working material. When a positive feedback loop is properly added (forming a resonant cavity), laser oscillation output can be formed [1]. Fiber laser marking machines use laser beams to mark the surfaces of various materials permanently. The marking effect is to expose the deeper material through the evaporation of the surface material, or to make a mark through the physical change of the surface material caused by light energy, or to burn part of the material through light energy to reveal the desired etching pattern, text, barcode and other graphics.
Application research
The so-called fiber laser marking machine refers to the marking machine that uses fiber laser. Fiber laser has the characteristics of small size (no water cooling device, using air cooling), good beam quality (base mode), maintenance-free, etc.
It is mainly composed of three parts: laser, galvanometer lens, and marking card. The laser marking machine using fiber laser has good beam quality. Its output center is 1064nm, and the life of the whole machine is about 100,000 hours. Compared with other types of laser markers, it has a longer life. The electro-optical conversion efficiency is more than 28%, which is a great advantage compared to the 2%-10% conversion efficiency of other types of laser marking machines. It has outstanding performance in energy saving and environmental protection.
